We spent our Fourth of July in the backyard (which backs up to Elk Lake!) of the unsinkable Aunt Barb (she’s actually my husband’s great-aunt). She is a hilarious and completely entertaining lady. It was so very Fourth-of-July(TM), complete with vintage lawn chairs and forays into the garage for cold beers from the cooler. That’s where we noticed this little morel-and-gnome fiesta. Aunt Barb did not even remember offhand what we were talking about when we mentioned how amazing we though it was. She went into the garage later to investigate, and long story short, we ended up with a four-pound concrete addition to our luggage on the way back to Seattle. So here they are, nestled into their new gnome home. They’re a bit light on facial features. Dave is thinking googly eyes.
OMG! So jealous! Morels and gnomes! Don’t leave me t house sit again, or it’ll likely not be there upon your return….
to house sit. oops. I need coffee.
Wow - I have no words. I am wordless.
We can work on eyes and then sandpaper them so they don’t look so shiny and new.
I thought you got an alien brain doorstop for a moment.
Are you trying to say that our “Watch fireworks on TV” is not Fourth-of-July ™?
