I find a lot of white and a little bit of color at Casa Sugar this week, and all of it appeals to me. I’ve been complaining that the colors in our living/dining room aren’t working that well for me, but I also resist having everything painted white. And yet…I like it…. Plus we have a black couch. Maybe this is the way to go.
I so love the bright turqoise couch!

She included this too, which is the Dash Lamp from Crate & Barrel, but now it’s not appearing on their website. Drat! It’s really affordable, too.
I love the turquoise couch. Although I have to admit - I love your house as is. Wouldn’t making changes be gilding the lily a little? Or am I just design-differently-abled?
Wow that turquoise couch is awesome!
My ‘Mary Tyler Moore’ apartment was painted all white when I moved in, and I really loved it for a couple of years, but after a while it felt rather cold. It also was a big drafty Victorian house. But you can change out paint colors every few years anyway, so it might be a good choice!
Also, I’m really interested in that large corrugated material that they are using as outside dividers… any chance you know anything about that stuff?
You know, Dorian, that looks like glass to me. Last winter Earthwise had a TON of wavy glass like that which used to be in the skylights of a school. It was incredible — it had the safety wire in it — and they had a ton of it. They may still have it. As I recall very LARGE pieces were just $60 each though you had to clean them yourself; pre-cleaned were $400. Haven’t been there in awhile so don’t know the status of it. I don’t think cleaning was that hard though, just time consuming. I seem to recall the guy saying they just used steel wool.
PS if someone was handy with the sewing, a vintage couch could be turned into that turqoise couch with slip covers pretty easily…just sayin’…!
I love the woven table and chair in the top photo! I’ve been searching for stuff like this since I’ve seen it on someone’s patio on Queen Anne (theirs was in orange and white though)
